This API provides a set of methods to access and update business and partner contact information in the Encompass contacts database. Business contact information is represented in the business contact object.
Use the Get Canonical Names API to retrieve a list of canonical field names that can be used to view, sort, and filter business contact information.
About Personal and Public Business Contacts
- Business contacts can be personal or public.
- With public resources, only users whose profiles allow access to Templates and Tables can create or edit public contacts.
- The accessLevel parameter defines whether the contact is personal or public.
- Public business contacts are available for viewing by all users, such as loan processors selecting a contact from the business contacts.
- All users can create and modify business contacts.
